Detailed Travel Itinerary


Day 1 : Departure from New Delhi every Wednesday at 18:00 hours
A royal welcome with traditional ceremony and garlanding marks the begining of your Palace on wheels tour. After check in formalities you will be escorted to your saloon. Journey to the land of Maharajas (Kings) starts with your departure from New Delhi.

Day 2 : Jaipur Arrival 02:00 hours departure at 19:30 hours.
After breakfast on board train, start your sight seeing tour of Jaipur visiting magnificent fort of Amber. Take a famous elephant ride of Jaipur to reach main entrance of the Amber fort. After lunch at 5 star hotel visit city palace of Jaipur and walk across the local markets of Jaipur. Dinner on board train.

Day 3 : Jaisalmer Arrival: 08.15 hrs. Departure 23.00 hrs
Jaisalmer represents typical desert of Rajasthan both in terms of topography and culture. The city is also popular as golden city of Rajasthan owing to the yellow colour of sandstone from which most of the buildings are made. At Jaisalmer you will visit the Sonar fort, history of which dates back to 11^Th century. See the famous havelis of Jaisalmer. Dinner with cultural program at hotel in Jaisalmer. Return to train by 23:00 hours and departure to Jodhpur.

Day 4 : Jodhpur Arrival: 07.00 hrs. Departure 15.30 hrs
Jodhpur is second largest city of Rajasthan which is also known by names The Suncity, or Blue City. Your Local tour of the Jodhpur starts at 09:00 hours. visit Mehrangarh fort, one of the most magnificent forts of Rajasthan. Major parts of the fort are open for the tourists which displays armoury and other articles which belong to Royal Family of Jodhpur. Lunch at 5 star hotel. Also visit Umaid Bhawan palace museum. Dinner on board train.

Day 5 : Ranthambore (Sawaimadhopur), Chittorgarh Arrival: 04.00 hrs. Departure: 10.30 Hrs
Early morning arrive Sawai Madhopur railway station. Take a morning safari at Ranthambore national Tiger reserve. The sanctuary is house for number of species of wild animals including the Indian Tiger. Lunch on board train. Arrive Chittorgarh at 15:30 hours. The fort of Chittorgarh spread over more than 15 km narrates its own history and here the scars of the bloody battles can still be found intact. Dinner on board train.

Day 6 : Udaipur Arrival 06:00 hours, Departure 19:00 hours.
Arrive Udaipur in the morning. The sight seeing tour of Udaipur includes city palace, the largest palace complex of Rajasthan, set against the picturesque backdrop of Pichola lake and Aravali mountains. Enjoy boat cruise at Pichola lake. After lunch at 5 star hotel visit Sahelion ki Bari and local markets. Dinner on board train.
Day 7 : Bharatpur, Agra

Arrive Bharatpur at 07:00 hours. Morning safari to Bharatpur Bird sanctuary also known as Keoladeo Ghana Bird sanctuary. Watch thousands of migratory and local birds gathered around the Ghana lake. Arrive Agra at 14:30 hours. Visit Taj Mahal, the most beautiful monument you have ever seen. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an eternal memory of his beloved queen, Taj Mahal is all white marble construction with precious stone inlay work. Also visit Agra fort. Dinner on board train.

Day 8 : Delhi
Arrival at 06:00 hours. Checkout after breakfast. Your Palace on wheels tour to Rajasthan concludes here.

1 Hour boat ride in artistic lake Pichola gives you a glimpse of Heritage Havelis around lake and visit to Jagmandir island Palace. Boats available from city palace complex.

5% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure.
20% of ticket value 30-59 days prior to departure.
100% of ticket value between less than 30 days prior to departure.
